~ 3 5/8″ LONG BEER FAUCET SHANK ~ Here’s a chromed brass faucet shank in the perfect 3 5/8″ Length for most kegerator and jockey box projects. This unit provides the ‘shank’ that goes through the cooler wall and seals it on both sides. It will attach to the most common sizes of faucet on one side and with 1/4″ beer line on the other. This is the most common size used. Sometimes we have to send a 4″ one instead. This is a standard size shank that will fit most refrigerator doors and coolers. Most USA standard beer faucets or ‘taps’ will fit on the outside edge of the faucet and your beer line will fit on the other. This is called a ‘welded’ type because a lot of the complicated parts (beer nuts etc) are eliminated by the one-piece unit. All you need are the faucet and the clamp! Before you drill a 1″ hole an expensive refrigerator door or cooler wall find some good instructions. If they don’t help you make sure there are no cooling lines in that area, find better instructions! Try finding a good flat spot inside the door first. Measure twice and cut once! Set up a drill stop so you only drill 1/8″ deep that should get you through the outer skin then you can push anything in the way aside and continue drilling. Usually you will cut a short length of plain white 1″ PVC pipe to use for a spacer. That way you can tighten down the shank without distorting the door. The pressure holding the faucet shank in place goes on the spacer, not the door. Please be sure to get some good instructions off the internet and think it through once or twice before you actually do it! ITEM CONDITION: Brand new first quality merchandise.
